Man, I mean... of course I like this! But this time I'll go further in WHY I like this.
First this is pixel art, and I'm a big fan.
Second, this potato feels the need to say it's a potato, it doesn't make a lot of sense and it raise many questions, main one being "Is it really a potato, if it needs to prove it that much?"
Then your eyes automatically get attracted by it's ears, and you're starting to be even more doubtful concerning the fact it's a "true" potato.
You added more to the lore by specifying it's favourite song is R34P3R, which is a quite brutal themed song, and now you start to think all the previous features may just be lured to make you think this potato is harmless.
At this point, the ears, the pink background, the "3" mouth, and this simple statement "I'm a Potato" starts to make you feel a true feeling of fear.
Nice one Neon. Nice one.

Edit: It's only assumption at this point, but I really hope this "potato' is not related to Mr Spikyhead or we're screwed...
